The Heart Dietitian is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Accredited Nutritionist who provides easy to understand, science - based nutrition.

Even though I specialise in heart health, I can help in other areas too, and have an interest in gut disorders. I believe its important to apply these healthy eating messages to specialised diets, such as the low FODMAP diet or gluten free diet, and it is possible! I like to keep things easy and simple because I know how busy life can be.

About Me

I have been a dietitian for over 10 years. All through my university degree I was hoping to get a clinic job within a hospital, but as soon as I graduated my own GP started referring patients to me and I fell in love with private practice.

I am originally from Sydney, and Sydney still holds a very special place in my heart, but I love living in the country. I moved to the Central West with my husband when our son was born wanting to get away from the busy-ness of city life. And I could never go back!

​

So what got me into nutrition in the first place? I was born with a rare disease, and the treatment for it is a very restrictive diet. There are A LOT of things I can't eat, so from the time I could read, I was reading nutrition labels and ingredients lists. It made me fascinated by how the body works and more specifically about how food affects our bodies. Everything we eat will  trigger some sort of reaction within our bodies.
